New store to add spice to Wellesley Square

April 4, 2011 by Bob Brown

UPDATE: Looks like we got this one wrong. There, I said it.  Jewelry/accessory shop Isabel Harvey is moving here in May 2011 from Linden Square.

As if Wellesley isn’t already exotic enough with restaurants such as Blue Ginger and Cafe Mangal, now we’re hearing that a business selling exotic spices, herbs and other such cooking elements will be moving into the curious construction project  at 41 Central St.,  in Wellesley Square formerly occupied by A Different Drummer. We apologize for the punny headline, but figured we might as well serve up the first of many this new business will inevitably inspire.

Sounds like a great idea in terms of being something really different in town. One member of The Swellesley Report team who isn’t me has already been heard to say: “Great. It will save me from trekking to Arlington for spices…”
