The Wellesley Natural Resources Commission is sponsoring its 12th annual Earth Day Clean-Up on April 16, 9:30 AM- 12 PM along the Charles River in Lower Falls.
Volunteers should meet at the intersection of River Street and Route 16 in Wellesley at 9:30 AM. Ample parking is available in the municipal lot on River Street, and the NRC will provide free t-shirts and refreshments for all volunteers.
The NRC seeks volunteers to join in this annual effort that both makes a visible difference to the quality of the river bank, and also helps to raise awareness of the need to preserve the precious waterways, trails and green spaces in our community. The NRC partners on the event with the Charles River Watershed Association. For more information about volunteering call NRC Executive Director Janet Hartke Bowser at 781-431-1019, ext 2294.
