Wellesley/Newton section of Charles River cleaned up

Dozens of volunteers showed up for an Earth Day clean-up in Lower Falls along the Charles River in Wellesley and Newton Saturday and they hauled quite a bit of junk off the shore and out of the woods. The event was organized by Wellesley’s Natural Resources Commission.

Also of note, fish were spotted on the fish ladder at Finlay Dam, though the water was rushing so fast, it was pretty hard to see them.
