The Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend committee has begun rolling out details for this year’s festivities, which take place the weekend of May 20-22.
The parade theme will be Wellesley Recycles, which celebrates 40 years of the town’s recycling program. (By the way, this month eyeglasses are the Recyclable of the Month at the Wellesley RDF, which is working with the Lions Club to ensure that your old glasses are sanitized and then classified by prescription and distributed to those that cannot afford them.)
Highlights of the weekend include the pancake breakfast, an 18th century military encampment, a dog contest, open houses at the fire department and police department buildings, concerts and of course, fireworks.
