Special election reminder: Voters to decide on DPW building Wednesday

A Special Election to seek voter approval of a debt exclusion to fund the debt service for the proposed DPW Operations Office addition, will occur on Wednesday, May 18. The text of the question is:

Shall the Town of Wellesley be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bonds issued in order to fund the plans and specifications, construction, remodeling, equipping and furnishing of a new Department of Public Works office facility at 20 Municipal Way?

All regular polling places open 7am-8pm. Absentee ballots for this election are now available from the Town Clerk.  Applications must be in writing  or in person and received on or before noon on May 17.  Absentee ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk by the close of the polls on May 18.
