A Wellesley real estate management company is coming under fire after a WCVB Channel 5 story aired this week on a longtime employee of the firm who says he was terminated after informing the company his wife had lung cancer and that he’d need to work a different schedule. The company declined to speak with reporters, calling the situation a private personnel matter. Labor experts say small private companies like this are not held to the same employment law standards as larger firms, which means such terminations can be allowed regardless of circumstances.
as a former broker and owner of a company of less than 50 employees
my comment is…if that company can screw a sales person who has worked for them for 14 years….be sure that any customer gets even less consideration than that…they deserve all the bad publicity they get…they deserveit…..SHAMELESS…AND NO HEART…DONT DESERVE TO SURVIVE AS A COMPANY.
