Gustare Oils & Vinegars, a business that has made a name for itself on Cape Cod since the summer of 2009, will be opening a shop in Wellesley Square in early November.
Gustare imports extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars from around the world, and offers tastings, products and gifts.
Gustare, which has locations in Chatham and Mashpee on the Cape, plans to move into the space at 90 Central St., recently vacated by Bonsoir and near Alta Strada.
Gustare is operated by Catherine and Dave Ferraresi, who “were intrigued by the broad offering of extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars available in quaint village markets” while living in Europe for 10 years, according to their website. Catherine, who has been inspired by the cooking style and philosophy of Marcella Hazan, attended cooking school in Italy and shares many recipes with customers at Gustare’s shops and website.
As with the pending opening of Pine Straw, as we reported earlier in the week, Gustare’s arrival should cheer those in town tired of prime real estate being filled by banks and real estate agencies.
