Why could the Rockland Street Bridge over the railroad tracks possibly need a face lift? Pretty obvious if you’ve driven or walked across its messy wood and tar surface any time recently.
It’s up next for Mass DOT, fresh off the Cedar Street bridge replacement. Some conduit work has already been done but the real work is slated to get cranking soon, with a completion date of next July. Among other things, the bridge will be raised and widened.
