Wellesley police show 2011 Youth Academy the ropes

Some of Wellesley’s most law abiding citizens, a group of middle school students, this week are enjoying a hands-on camp hosted by the Wellesley Police Department and Wellesley Youth Commission.

The Youth Academy is being treated to behind-the-scenes police station tours, a chance to patrol with state police in Boston Harbor and even a visit to Boston Garden.

Although we hear what the kids’ parents are really looking forward to are the Get Out of Jail Free Cards that all graduates of the program reportedly receive.
