From the town of Wellesley:
With the hurricane season upon us, the Town of Wellesley and its Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) would like to remind residents of how they can prepare their families and their homes for all kinds of emergencies. The Town has published a brochure with information about local emergency contacts, shelters, notification systems, and the LEPC. An Emergency Preparedness Checklist is also available, that describes some simple steps you can take to be prepared.
Additional information on hurricane preparedness is available from:MEMA (the MA Emergency Management Agency) on their website, andFEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) through their Ready.gov portal.
Our Fire Rescue Department /EMS staff, Police/Emergency Dispatchers (911), MLP, DPW, Health Dept., and team of citizen volunteers (CERT), are ready to assist our community if needed but emergency preparedness always begins at home!
