An inside look at Wellesley fire station’s makeover

Wellesley Fire Department Station 1 on Central Street has been a busier place than usual of late, with firefighters sharing space with a slew of construction and other workers. The town has appropriated more than $400K to fix a deteriorating floor and heating system at the 82-year-old building. The hope is to get things wrapped up before it gets too cold.
