The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club has announced its annual open call for artists who have captured the beauty of Wellesley through their artwork to compete to have their work showcased on the cover of the Wellesley Phone Book.
(Artsy photo…artsy photo…hmmm, we must have taken at least 1 this year in town. Ah, yes, “Barebone Wellesley,” our study of the stripped down retail environment in Wellesley Square as businesses battling the tough economy look to regain their footing and come out even stronger.)
Anyway, back to all of you serious artists: works to be entered into the Cover Contest must be submitted to Phone Book Committee c/o Femina Ali at 5 Seaward Rd., Wellesley MA 02481 or electronically to femina@wellesleydentalgroup.
The books, published in June, are distributed to over 11,000 Wellesley households and businesses. They are a major fundraiser for the club, which uses the money to support various charities.
And hey, if our photo doesn’t crack the winner’s circle, Davis Museum, you know where to reach us.
