How to make your voice heard in Wellesley school superintendent search

December 4, 2011 by Bob Brown Leave a Comment

The School Committee has announced that it wants to use an open and fair process to determine which parents will participate in each of the search activities. If you are interested in participating in a focus group or the advisory search committee (the public forum and parent survey will be open to everyone), please send an email to the School Committee  by Friday, December 23rd with the following information:

-Name

-Contact information (email address and telephone number)

-Years of graduation of children who are past or present students in the Wellesley Public Schools and schools attended/ing

-Past and present professional experience and/or volunteer experience within and outside of Wellesley

-A description of why you are interested in participating in the process and how your participation will be beneficial to the search process.

Participants in focus groups will need to be available after school or in the evening on one day. Participants in the advisory search committee will need to be available one evening and two to three weekend days likely for the entire day.

Please be aware that all submissions are public documents. We will not finalize the search process and committees until our search consultant has been hired in January so we will respond to email expressions of interest after we receive input from the consultant. Thank you for your interest and for supporting the Wellesley Public Schools.

For more information about the superintendent search process, visit our website or e-mail the School Committee .
