While plenty in Wellesley are just as happy to be without much snow so far, others are itching for more seasonal weather. The anticipated town skating rink at Hunnewell Field is dependent upon not just cold weather, but snow, according to Matt Chin from the Recreation Department: “We use the snow to build up snow banks and form a bowl that is filled with water to freeze. The forecast does not look promising…”
Separately, rinks have started to rise along the Brook path in residents’ yards (took pictures last week…rinks might have ice or slush by now?).

I’ve seen a couple of home rinks up with hardly a lick of ice. Too bad, I want to skate. Will anyone have me?
