Wellesley High School principal Andrew Keough says students and staff are invited to the old Wellesley High School Tuesday (Feb. 21) from 1-3pm to support one another in the wake of Wellesley teen Hannah Randolph’s death Sunday on a Colorado ski slope. Guidance and grief counselors will be available.
Keough, in a note to parents/guardians, wrote in part: “It is a devastating loss to our community. She was by all accounts an extremely special person who touched all facets of our school. She was a gifted artist, musician, athlete, scholar, and most importantly someone who cared deeply for others. She will be missed terribly.
“… As we transition to the new building on Tuesday, 2/28, counselors will continue to be made available to students as needed, and time will be set aside to acknowledge the loss of Hannah as a community.”
Readers: Please feel free to share your thoughts in our comments section, and we’ll pass along any other information we get regarding online forums and arrangements.
I join the entire community in sending my prayers and healing thoughts to the Randolph family upon learning of their greatest loss and tragedy. I know the entire town and beyond to all corners of the world, where those who know the family live, are sending love and praying hard for strength to go on with hope and comfort.
