The Wellesley Police Department website has become a multimedia showcase in recent years, adding video, timely press releases, interactive maps, links to social media sites and more. But the addition of Officer Mark Carrasquillo’s talking image making an electric slide onto your screen to welcome you to the site, then sliding back off is only slightly less alarming than seeing the flashing lights of a cop car behind you on the road.
