The Boston Globe updates the vacancy/non-vacancy situation in Wellesley Square, noting that several new businesses, such as Gustare Oils & Vinegars, have opened, and others are on the way. As we noted in September, eatery Boloco will take over the old Betsy’s space near the fire station, and a Papyrus paper/gifts store will replace the recently closed Hudson interior design store.
One space still looking for a tenant is the old Rugged Bear location at 34 Central St., although the space has at least been kept vibrant via rotating Welelsley Community Art Project exhibits, the latest being a series of self-portraits by Tenacre Country Day School students.
