We haven’t seen the last of Grossman’s in Wellesley

National Development has commissioned an artist to create an installation featuring the bright orange bricks of the old Grossman’s hardware store that used to sit where the new Waterstone at Wellesley senior living facility has risen at 27 Washington St.  The work by Nadya Volicer, who is known for her work with recycled or discarded materials, will be installed by early next month. Here’s an interview with the artist, via Waterstone.

The Quincy Historical Society, meanwhile, has grabbed the old Grossman’s sign for its collection.
