Wellesley socialite an “American Beauty”

The Boston Herald reports that “Wellesley socialite” Ashley Bernon is among the women whose portraits are featured in a $75 book called American Beauty by photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank that only socialites can afford to put on their coffee tables (though Amazon sells it for half price). Bernon, a mother of two, tells the Herald: “I was excited to be a voice for all of the good that Boston does, and to be part of the next generation of women giving back to their communities.”

The column reminded me of a game we used to play on this website where we kept a running count of Wellesley vs. Weston residents pictured in Boston Globe’s Party Lines social page photos. For kicks, we checked today and sure enough, Wellesley kicked Weston’s butt 3-0!
