Not only is Wellesley in the middle of picking a new public school superintendent, with interviews and public forums already underway, but the town is also seeking a new Wellesley Middle School principal.
In a letter to parents issued by school superintendent Bella Wong this week, she explains that the town hopes to choose a superintendent by May 11 and then have one of the new superintendent’s first jobs be to pick a Middle School Principal from a pool of finalists being recruited now. Interim Wellesley Middle School Principal Jamie Chisum has agreed to stick around for another year in the job if timing is such that a new principal is not chosen. In the meantime, Wong invites residents to contact her by April 27 to set up an appointment or pass along comments regarding qualities the new principal should have.
