Wellesley Farmers’ Market opens

April 5, 2012 by Bob Brown Leave a Comment

Wellesley Farmers' MarketThe Wellesley Farmers’ Market will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, May 10th at 2 pm in the Whole Foods Market parking lot (although technically, the market opens May 3 from 2-6pm). Attendees can jump on a bike-powered smoothie blender and tunes will be provided by Wellelsey High School musicians.
School musicians play as well.
The market will feature diverse local vendors of organic and other specialty crops each Thursday from 2-6pm from May until October. Residents involved in the town’s sustainable energy efforts have worked with MassHort and others to get the farmers’ market off the ground.
Volunteer opportunities are available. Please contact John Spencer at 617-933-4916.
