Sudbury’s Israel Loring Elementary School is turning into something of a feeder system for Wellesley Public Schools: Jeffery Dees is leaving there to take over as principal of Wellesley’s Upham Elementary School, following in the footsteps of David Ieong, who left his job as assistant principal at Loring last year to join Bates Elementary School in Wellesley as principal.
“I am excited to be coming to Wellelsey as the next principal of the Upham School. I really enjoyed meeting staff and families during the recent interview process,” Dees says. “I have had a great experience in Sudbury and it will be difficult to leave the staff and families I have worked with these past 4 years”
At the end of the school year Dees will replace interim Upham principal Elaine Harold, who took over for Tracey Mara.
