Wellesley schools and other organizations are jamming a bunch of activities in this weekend, as the push to get things done before summer is on:
*Wellesley High School play “The House of Blue Leaves” will be performed Friday and Saturday at 4pm and 7:30pm.
*Wellesley Trails Committee hosts a 10-mile grand tour hike across the town’s trails: Starts along the Brook Path, then take the Crosstown Trail, Charles River Path, Sudbury Path and Guernsey Path, and return on the Brook Path. Most of the hike will be on trails through woods or along aqueducts, with only 2 miles along roads. Bring sturdy footwear, water and a snack. Meet at the State Street parking adjacent to the High School stadium. More info
*The annual Bargain Haul at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will be held Saturday, May 5th from 8:30am – 12:30pm. 79 Denton Rd., near corner of Route 16 and Weston Road, Wellesley. The enormous selection includes jewelry, clothes, toys, housewares, books, electronics and more! Admission is $2. RAIN OR SHINE!
*The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club is hosting its annual Wellesley Kitchen Tour on Saturday from 11am-3pm. The event, which showcases style and design concepts at 6 local homes, raises funds for local charities and scholarship programs. Ticket prices are $30 when purchased in advance, and are $40 when purchased at the door. Homes on the tour this year are at: 94 Edmunds Road; 157 Edmunds Road; 88 Hampshire Road; 14 Hundreds Circle; 15 Rutgers Road; and 25 Kenilworth Road. More info.
*Household Hazardous Products day at the Wellesley RDF from 9am-1pm Residents only. More info.
*Wellesley Choral Society concludes its 2011- 2012 season with a Sunday, May 6 concert dedicated to the music of three generations of the Bach family, including of course Johann Sebastian Bach. Concert starts at 2pm. More info.
