After reporting on the Wellesley Municipal Light Plant’s possible expansion of distributed antenna systems (such as the one on this telephone pole) to improve cellphone service in town, we heard from a handful of readers about where their cellphones go dead in Wellesley.
Dead zones cited by readers include:
*The corner of Cliff Rd and Scotch Pine
*In the valley by Longfellow Pond. Brookside Road. Also in parking lot at Fiske School. Along Rt9 near Jarvis (where the tower came down — never had a problem there before that)
*We have almost NO reception whatsoever on Fuller Brook Road
The MLP welcomes feedback from all town residents and businesses. As a first step, it has scheduled two public meetings in the Arnold Room of the Main Library. The first will begin at 7:30 PM on Thursday, May 31st and second on Wednesday, June 6th at 7:3opm. You are also encouraged to share your thoughts and opinions with MLP Director Richard F. Joyce via email at djoyce@wellesleyma.gov or by phone 781-235-7600, extension 3380.
