Busy night at Wellesley School Committee: New food provider, new chair

The Wellesley School Committee Tuesday night voted unanimously to replace Chartwells with Whitsons Culinary Group as the public school systems’ new food services group. Based on most accounts, Whitsons should easily be an improvement over Chartwells, whose 1-year contract was not renewed after a tumultuous year, following Wellesley’s decision to outsource food services.
