The owners of Café Mangal in Wellesley Square have recently opened a gift store selling Turkish goods in a space adjacent to the restaurant, which is at 555 Washington St. The store can be accessed via the restaurant or through its front entrance.
Berna Ozargun, owner of Café Mangal with her husband, Omer, have saved you the trouble of traveling to Turkey by selecting handmade doodads during trips to their native country and making them available through Muna. The store’s inventory includes pottery, silk scarves, jewelry, pillows and assorted household accessories.
Muna, the nickname given to Ozargun’s mother, Münevver, means “brilliant” in Turkish.
Muna is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and by appointment, and in the fall from 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m.
More about the store in a recent story from the Townsman.
