Carter Dayton Home almost got a really dramatic introduction to Wellesley this weekend: the furniture/interior design retail store moving into the old Whole Foods Market space in Wellesley Hills at 276 Washington St., is right next door to the Quebrada bakery whose storefront was crashed into by a driver Sunday morning.
Carter Dayton Home has been fixing up the ex-Whole Foods site to prep for an October opening, according to the website for Carter & Co., an interior design firm based on Newbury Street in the Back Bay. The retail store will feature furniture from Hickory Chair, in North Carolina, among others. Carter & Co., markets itself as having a “classic approach to interior design,” and says it has done projects from Beacon Hill to Nantucket to New York City.
This makes me laugh, thank you.
The very idea. In Wellesley consumption needs to be mandated by zoning or by system failure.
