Pure Barre, a fitness business whose clients shape up their bodies using “small isometric movements at the ballet barre set to motivating music”, is coming to Linden Square. The newest franchise — one of dozens nationwide — will be owned by Rachel Roberts, who already runs a Pure Barre in Newton (which happened to be featured on the Chronicle TV show this week).
Pure Barre won’t of course be the only barre action in town. Body in Motion, also in Linden Square, offers BarFusion, pilates and other classes; Laughing Dog Yoga offers Ballet Floor Bar classes at its Linden Street location; Linden Square’s Wellesley Beacon Hill Athletic Club has been offering its own Beacon Barre classes for the past year; and also getting people fit in Linden Square is The Fitness Club for Women, which offers pilates, kickboxing and many other classes. Also in town, BarSculpt classes can be found at H.Y.P. Studio in Wellesley Square.
