Carl Crawford, the $$$ outfielder whose injuries didn’t let him display his talents much for the Red Sox after joining the team last year, has been traded away from the Red Sox to the LA Dodgers as part of a blockbuster deal. Guessing his nice post-teardown home in the Dana Hall area of Wellesley will go on the market soon. (Dang, never did get around to inviting him to one of our Little League practices!)
(Speaking of the trade and Wellesley, Mark LeBrun of the Linden Store in Wellesley shares his view of the Sox awful season and the trade in this New York Times article.)
Earlier this summer, Wellesley resident and Celtics guard Ray Allen took his talents to Miami, following a season in which he was hobbled by injuries and lost his starting job.
