Signs of life at the Talbots Kids store at 50 Central St., in Wellesley Square, as a demo crew was busy Tuesday cleaning out the space for Paper Source, which is moving there from around the corner on Church Street. Paper Source already has a new neighbor in the Twig florist and gift shop.
Talbot Kids shut down in 2008 in Wellesley and has featured ghostly, empty windows ever since. (Thanks to reader AK for pointing out this activity.)
Across the street, a building permit has also been posted for permission to remove the old Bank of America ATM at 15 Central St.
The other big action downtown is the repaving of the parking lot behind Central Plaza.
