Wellesley Police on Saturday morning identified the cyclist who was hit by a car and killed on Weston Road Friday afternoon as 41-year-old Wellesley resident Alexander Motsenigos.
Motsenigos, a Trinity College and Northeastern University graduate, was the father of a 6-year-old boy. Motsenigos was a VP at market research company IDC and a triathlete who recently completed an event in Boston.
“The world has lost a special man. Our heart is broken but has room for forgiveness. Please if you have information that will help us grieve with our loss, do come forward,” his family said in a statement, published in the Boston Herald.
Our condolences, as Wellesley residents and part of the IDC/IDG family, to Motsenigos’s family and friends.
Alex was a well respected colleague at IDC and a great guy. My thoughts go out to his family
I’ll always recall meeting Alex for the first time at IDC more than a decade ago. With his wonderful personality and an engaging smile, Alex was always ready to support a colleague any way he possibly could.
My heartfelt sympathies to Alex’s family.
