Wellesley High vs. Needham High football has traditionally dominated the local sports action on Thanksgiving Day, but this Nov. 22 Wellesley will also host a 5 mile and 5K Turkey trot road race.

The Turkey5 will start and end at Linden Square, heading through the Wellesley College campus and a mini-version of the famous Boston Marathon Scream Tunnel in between.

This is a Run Against Cancer Event is free to cancer survivors. Both races start at 8am.

If you’re zippy enough in the race, you should have plenty of time to head over to the football game, too. It starts at 10am in Needham.
