Wellesley Recreation Department is hosting its first Trunk or Treat event at the Morses Pond parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 1-2:30pm, in what it hopes will become a new Halloween tradition.
The idea is that people will decorate their cars in Halloween costumes, perhaps with pop culture themes, perhaps with traditional scary (though not too scary) Halloween themes.
It costs $5 to enter a car in the event, and you’ll be eligible for best costume prizes (funniest, scariest, best theme, most artistic) if you do (car owners/families should dress up to match their cars). Others are welcome to swing by and trick-or-treat, as car owners are encouraged to bring (nut-free) treats that can be doled out from their car trunks.
Set-up is at noon, trick-or-treat at 1pm, awards at 2pm and clean-up by 2:30pm. Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 28
