Wellesley resident and Wellesley College teacher Carrie Megan has won the Ursus Award for Merit at the 15th Annual International Juried American Society of Botanical Artists Exhibition for her graphite drawing titled Northern Red Oak & Gray Birch (shown here). The drawing will be on exhibit along with 39 botanical artists’ works from around the world, until Nov. 21 at the New York Horticultural Society gallery at 148 West 37th Street in NYC.
Megan’s works have also been accepted at two other notable juried shows including: The Allied Artists of America, Inc. 99th Annual Exhibition,at National Arts Club Galleries, 15 Gramercy Park South, NYC, and the 14th International Exhibition of Botanical Art & Illustration at The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation for 2013.
