Well, you can stop holding out hope that Will and Kate will be by to sunbathe at 41 Alba Rd., in Wellesley. That noted real estate whiz, Her Majesty the Queen of England, has sold the 2,781 sq. ft., 4-bedroom house for $991K.
This isn’t the first time the Royal One has dabbled in Wellesley real estate, having bought a house on Bradley Avenue in Wellesley last year in February. The Norfolk Registry of Deeds said that home was actually bought by the Canadian Consulate in Boston and we imagine this is a similar sort of deal (Queen Elizabeth II is Canada’s head of state).
Wellesley, of course, has been in the real estate spotlight of late since we broke the news earlier this month that Ray Allen, a member of Boston Celtics royalty in recent years, was selling his mansion, and that ex-Red Sox player Carl Crawford was selling his home with indoor batting cage, also in Wellesley.
