The Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club’s 36th Annual Wellesley Marketplace will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9am to 4pm at Wellesley Middle School, 50 Kingsbury Street.
The holiday extravaganza will feature more than 140 fine artisans (showing off items like those pictured here) and displays by assorted Wellesley organizations including local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, the Wellesley High School Sailing Team, the Wellesley High School Creative Haiti group and the Wellesley Middle School Teen Center.
This year also marks the return of a raffle. A collection of 13 prizes includes an iPad, Celtics tickets, an Hermes bracelet, and Linden Store and Blue Ginger gift certificates. Raffle tickets are available for sale at Roche Brothers (Sun, Nov 11th-Fri, Nov 16th from 9am-5pm) and also at The Linden Store (Sat, Nov 3rd 11am-2pm) and at Marketplace. Tickets are $1 each, or $10 for 12 tickets and all proceeds benefit the WHJWC Charitable Giving Fund.
The WHJWC is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to community service. Since its inception in 1944, the WHJWC has generated over $4.5 million in funding to support essential social services, making it one of the largest grant-making organizations in the area. Through the Club’s four fundraisers: the Wellesley Phone Book, the Wellesley Marketplace, the upcoming Luminary Night and the Wellesley Kitchen Tour – the WHJWC provides scholarships for Wellesley students and support for numerous area charitable organizations.
Premium tickets for entrance to the Marketplace from 9-10am are $15 and can be purchased starting Nov. 1at Roche Bros. in Wellesley and online at www.whjwc.org. General admission is from 10am-4pm. General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Middle School on Saturday, Nov. 17.
