UPDATE (Nov. 13, 2012): The Drs. Ali report that they received a record breaking donation of candy this year to send to the troops via the CarePacks organization. Shown here, Wellesley Mothers Forum donating candy — it was one of 20+ organizations to do so.
Wellesley Dental Group is again orchestrating a big collection of extra Halloween candy to send to overseas troops. We’ve heard the troops love to have candy with them to dish out to kids in areas they protect. Handwritten notes for the troops are welcome, too. Send email to Wellesley Dental Group to arrange for your group to drop off candy at the 5 Seaward Rd., office through Nov. 9. Candy and notes can also be dropped off at the Wellesley Police station on Washington Street until Nov. 9.
We’re so excited, this event is shaping up to be a record-breaker! So many schools, pre-schools, as well as the Junior Womens Club, Mothers Forum, and the Newcomers Club will all be here on the 9th. If you haven’t donated your candy yet, there is still time. We look forward to seeing you here!
