Wellesley’s town clerk has released revised preliminary election results, and the only real difference is that newly elected Sen. Elizabeth Warren actually took Wellesley over Scott Brown by 46 votes. Brown topped Warren by 45 votes based on the earlier preliminary results released on Tuesday.
Kathleen Nagle, the town clerk, explains: “This new table [of results] reflects the additional tabulation of the ballots not read by the machine due to voter marking errors and the eballots submitted from voter abroad. There are a very limited number of additional ballots to record from Provisional voters and ballots mailed from foreign sources. (<50).”
So the officials corrected ballots due to ‘voter marking errors’? Huh? Yeah..like correcting a vote for Brown to a vote for Warren. Not buying it.
