The Wellesley Public School system, getting its house in order after the various financial messes it has had to clean up over the past couple of years, has named Judith Belliveau as director of finance and business operations.

Belliveau was brought into WPS in April from the Lincoln-Sudbury school system as interim business manager, replacing Ruth Quinn Berdell, who was at the center of a controversy involving uncollected school lunch fees and part of a legal blame game involving former superintendent Bella Wong and the School Committee.

The School Committee has voted to approve a reorganization of the WPS business office, which received less than stellar reviews in an audit last year.

That reorg goes hand in hand with the hiring earlier this year of David Lussier as the new public school superintendent.
