The Wellesley Society of Artists is a community of artists, founded in 1933 for the purpose of encouraging and supporting local artists and for promoting fine arts in Wellesley. Member artists’ works will be on display at the Wellesley Free Library from Fri., Nov. 2nd through Thurs., Nov. 29th. Artworks will be on display in the lobby and Wakelin Room.
On Thursday, November 8th the Society will have a reception and present awards for the library juried exhibit from 6:30-9pm. Following the awards presentation, a painting demonstration will be given by Stephen Silver, a renowned abstract artist. Silver is the founder of SOWA Artists Guild, a major artist’s association in Boston.
The Wellesley Society of Artists welcomes all to this free event. Light refreshments will be served.
