The team promoting the upcoming Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot in Wellesley (5K and 5-mile races) is making a final push to get more runners signed up, suggesting you corral any guests coming into town to join in. The race takes place on Nov. 22 starting at 8am in Linden Square, and among highlights of the course will be a trip through the famed Boston Marathon Scream Tunnel near Wellesley College (shown here).
Race entry fees will support good causes, including the Wellesley Cancer Prevention Project. Funds earmarked for the Wellesley Cancer Prevention Project will be donated to the Integrated Services Support provided by the Vernon Cancer Center at Newton Wellesley Hospital. These experts are dedicated to providing care for cancer patients and helping them to live life as normally as possible despite their cancer diagnosis. Other beneficiaries include The Greater Boston Food Bank and the Ellie Fund.
