Wellesley Free Library will celebrate the 60th anniversary of E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web on Nov. 24 in the Children’s Room from 2-3pm. (If you’ve never heard a recording of E.B. White reading this book, stick it on your to-do list.)
The free program will include a reading from the book and the unveiling of the library’s Charlotte’s Web sculpture, which was donated by Wellesley residents Roy and Jean Perkinson. The sculpture depicts Wilbur, Charlotte and Templeton crated up for the county fair. It is made from papier maché by Canadian artist Rion Microys.
