From the Wellesley Town Clerk:

A new Wellesley town office seat has opened up: Vice Chairman Eric de Lacoste will be resigning from the Wellesley Housing Authority as of the March 5 election.

If interested in running for a spot on the Housing Authority, here’s what’s available:

1 Five-year position – incumbent is Kathy Egan
1 Three-year position – to be vacant as of election

Nomination papers may be obtained until Jan. 15 for the March 5 election. Candidates will need 50 signatures.

There is also a vacant position on the board that is appointed by the State. Typically the town/incumbent board members recruit and make suggestions to the state for candidates. As of today this position has been vacant for almost a year.

If you are aware of anyone interested in the low income housing needs for our town please encourage them to contact the current board members to learn about the responsibilities of this committee.
