Hunnewell Elementary School students in Wellesley are among those being encouraged to get creative and make snowflakes that will be sent along to the building where Sandy Hook Elementary School students in Newtown, Conn., will go following the holiday break.
The Connecticut Parent-Teacher Association is asking all PTOs to collect snowflakes from their districts’ students and send them along so that the Sandy Hook kids will be welcomed back by a winter wonderland.
Wellesley College athletes have also gotten into the snowflake spirit.
