From the Wellesley Community Center, regarding the latest visitor to town who wants to help boost your brain and wellness (Deepak Chopra swung through Wellesley in December):
If you are looking at a New Year’s resolution that is really different and may provide you with some real and practical traction, consider heading to the Wellesley Community Center for a seminar this Saturday, Jan. 19 called “Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself.” The program content is developed by Dr. Joe Dispenza, a brain/change expert and international best selling author of “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One” and “Evolve Your Brain.”
Dispenza [who will be visiting Wellesley virtually, via simulcast] believes that how we think, act and feel directly influences how we feel about ourselves and how we really live. See him in action here, discussing the concept of neuroplasticity.
This seminar is being hosted by Metro West Healing Center of South Natick, which will be coordinating a simulcast from Vancouver that will commence at noon EST. This session runs through 3:30PM. The second portion of the seminar begins at 5:00PM and runs until 9PM at the Wellesley Community Center in Henderson Hall. Admission is free, but an RSVP is requested: Contact Gertrud Lola at gertrudl@drjoedispenza.com or 508-653-5226 to reserve seating.
