A new blog dubbed Wellesley History popped up late last year and its producer, ex-Wellesley resident Joshua Dorin, intends to update it regularly.
Early posts, which are nicely researched and cite multiple sources, take readers into a Wellesley version of the WABAC machine to learn about things such as a small bridge on Cameron Street, a scandal involving Wellesley’s first town treasurer and the history of Wellesley Avenue.
The next post will be about the history of Brookside Road, which of course has had some interesting recent history involving its designation as a scenic road and some neighbors’ battle with Wellesley Country Club building plans.
Dorin describes himself as “a former Wellesley resident with a passion for the town’s history.”
