Upper Crust Pizzeria in Wellesley Square is set to re-open on Feb. 4, after closing down suddenly in November amidst corporate bankruptcy proceedings.
A sign on the front window of Upper Crust advertises for assorted jobs and notes that the business will re-open under new management. A new website for the business, with job listings, is expected to launch soon.
The Wellesley shop and a number of others were sold under auction in December, with a bid of $110K reportedly being made for the Wellesley location.
Ben Deb, CFO for the outfit that snapped up the Wellesley shop and three others, says Upper Crust is being given a facelift inside, though the name of the restaurant remains the same as do the recipes on the menu. “We’re looking forward to being part of the Wellesley community,” Deb says.
