Ray Allen, the ex-Boston Celtics star now playing for the Miami Heat, has sold his Wellesley mansion for $4.6 million, about the same for which he and his family bought the 11K sq. ft. home in 2007 but $600K under its listing price. This according to a write-up in the Boston Business Journal, which notes Allen took a pay cut to go to the Heat and also was held scoreless on Friday for just the third time in his career.
The 9-bedroom, 9-bathroom gated property at 86 Woodlawn Ave., went on the market this past fall.
