Condolences to friends/family of Paul (Wally) Seaver, the former Wellesley High School boys’ JV basketball coach, who died Tuesday at the age of 53.
Seaver, who was diagnosed with ALS a couple of years back, was a popular coach whose illness inspired students in Wellesley and Milford to organize fundraisers in his honor.
Seaver was a huge presence on the youth sports scene in his hometown of Milford, Mass., where a gym is named after him (and where I grew up alongside his siblings). He is survived by his wife and two sons.
Tributes to Seaver poured in across social media sites from former players, colleagues and friends, and the call is out for a huge “Let’s Go Raiders!” cheer to go up after a moment of silence at Thursday night’s game.
Coach Seaver, we felt you tonight in our win! We Love You! #Fighton3!
