The Department of Public Works and Wellesley Fire-Rescue Department are asking for your assistance in clearing fire hydrants of snow in your heighborhood. There are over 1,400 hydrants in Wellesley and each one is potentially vital in the event of an emergency!
To see where hydrants are located near you, please check out the Town’s interactive Adopt a Fire Hydrant! Map at http://gis.wellesleyma.gov/ hydrants/index.html (* requires a web browser with Adobe Flash Player plug-in installed)
Please use this form to let us know about a hydrant you’ve cleared and we’ll mark it on the map as “adopted” for all to see. Please be careful and aware of roadway traffic if you are able to assist with clearing a hydrant and thank you for volunteering to keep our neighborhoods safe!
